Oneonta - Colleen M. Hammond, of Oneonta, passed unto her Lord and Savior on Thursday, March 8, 2018 at the Bassett Medical Center in Cooperstown, following a long battle with cancer.
She was born on June 27, 1948 in San Francisco, CA, a daughter of the late Lee and Marie (Meier) Lawrence.
Colleen was greatly loved and will be forever missed.
Colleen is survived by her children, 10 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and her brothers. She is also survived by many step-children, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and caregivers, her church community, and her beloved animal companion, Jen.
She was predeceased by her husband James L. Hammond in 2008.
Friends and family may call from 11am to Noon on Monday, March 12, 2018 at the Unatego Community Church, 290 Main Street, Otego, NY 13825. A funeral service will follow at Noon at the church, with the Rev. Brian Cutting, officiating.
Colleen will be laid to rest next to her husband, James, in the Otego Evergreen Cemetery later in the spring at the convenience of her family.
