Henry Woerther born jan.26th 1842 on the Barretts rd. near Barretts station, St. Louis county Missouri. Married to Susie Sullivan about 53 years ago, 4 children were born to the couple, 3 daughters and 1 son of which 2 daughters have already died. Mrs. Woerther died Nov. 28th 1811. Deceased married widower Dorothea Steinmetz, nee Hoch March 29th 1879. No children were born to this union. Wife died December 18th 1912. Deceased lived with his children near Bellefontaine, Mo. His farm at the time of his death which occurred May 24th age 79 years, 3 months, 18 days. Mourned by one son one daughter one son-in-law 13 grandchildren, 2 brothers and one sister. Buried in St. John's cemetery.

Henry Woerther Sr. Found dead tuesday
Funeral Yesterday
Henry Woerther Sr. aged 79 years, was found dead on the farm of his son-in-law, with whom he made his home at Bellefontaine, tuesday evening at 7:30 o'clock. Mr. Woerther had left hme at 8 o'clock in the morning for a stroll over the farm and when he did not return in the afternoon a search was made for him. His lifeless body was found face downward on one end of the farm. A Coroner's jury rendered a verdict of death from heart failure.
Woerther was born at Barretts and came to Bellefontaine 40 years ago, where he conducted a blacksmith shop for many year. He retired from active duty in 1912 and of late made his home with his daughter, Mrs C. W. Barner. Besides the daughter he is survived by one son. Henry Woerther Jr, two brothers Casper Woerther of Ballwin and Phillip Woerther of St. Louis, and one sister, Mrs. Valentine Bopp of Kirkwood.
The funeral was conducted yesterday. Services being held at St. John's Church, with interment in the church cemetery.Husband of Dora Hoch Woerther.
