Charles was the founding partner of C&J Typesetters of Chicago, an organization known for its involvement of the production of yearbooks and annual reports throughout the Midwest. He was an active member of the North Shore Printers Guild and former usher for Saint Monica Parish in Chicago. He had enjoyed traveling with his wife throughout the world and visiting with his grandchildren throughout the United States. He was an inspiration to many Filipino students who pursued their graduate classes in the United States, often referred to as their "Stateside Daddy". Those who knew Charles understood the real meaning of humility, compassion and a devotion to his faith. He was truly a "gentle man". Visitation Friday at The Countryside Funeral Home, Bartlett.
