Robert, S. of William, was born in Bedford, 1797. He married (1st) Charlotte Chamberlain; (2nd) Mille Rand, born in Bedford, 1795. The children by the first marriage were:

George Washington, born 1823; married 1854 in New York, Ann Daly, who was born 1834 and died 1883. He was a soldier during the Civil War, and died 1865.

Charlotte Ann, daughter of Robert, married, 1848-50, Henry C. Sanderson of Charlestown, Mass. Four daughters.: Nellie, a school teacher in Manchester for many years; Florence, the 3d, married several years ago; her husband has been dead for many years; Nellie, the 2d, with Florence, are still living in Manchester, N. H. Mr. Sanderson was an expert machinist, and held for many years a high, responsible and lucrative position with the Amoskeag Corporation in Manchester. Mr. and Mrs. Sanderson have been dead about ten years.
