Woodfin McDuffie "Mac" Davis, 71, died suddenly at his home in Lizella, GA, on Wednesday, December 9, 1987. Mr. Davis was retired from Southern Bell Telephone Company after 40 years service.
Services were held Friday, December 11, at 4:00 pm at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, Macon, GA, with interment in the church cemetery. Reverend Franklin Etheridge officiated.
Mr. Davis is survived by his wife, son, two daughters, seven grandchildren, a great-granddaughter, sister, brother, and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Davis was predeceased by his parents, Woodfin Grady Davis and Josephine Corine Grant Davis, and brothers, Mason Arthur Davis, Vernon Lanier Davis, Joseph Morgan Davis (infant), and sisters, Mayde Evelyn Davis and Sarah Elizabeth Davis (both of whom died during childhood)--all are buried in Old Salem Methodist Church, Pearidge Rd., Monroe County, GA, as are his grandparents, great-grandparents, and several other relatives.
