BUHL — Charles Elmer Alexander, 66, Buhl, died Wednesday morning at his home after a long illness.
He was born June 2, 1907, at Murray, Utah, and came to Buhl with his parents in 1914. He worked as a carpenter and contractor until his retirement in 1970.
He was a member of the Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, two daughters, Mrs. Gary (Linda) Winn and Kathi Alexander, both Buhl; two sons, Jerry Alexander, Buhl, and David Alexander, Ames, Iowa; three sisters, Mrs. Paul Conway, Jerome; Mrs. Brick Jacobs, Reno, Nev., and Mrs. Louise Crump; Pocatello; two brothers, Ray Alexander, BIackfoot, and Richard Alexander, Stockton, Calif.; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Buhl LDS Chapel by Bishop D. Monte Davis and Rev. Floyd Austin. Concluding rites will be at the Buhl Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Cancer Fund.
