Jack Lanier McClendon of Weslaco, TX, age 82, passed away May 5th, 2012. He was the son of Harvey F. and Flossie Snow McClendon. He married Allie Lusk McClendon in 1956. She preceded him in death.
A longtime resident of Laurinburg, NC, he was a member of the Presbyterian Church and sang in the choir for many years. Mr. McClendon served in the US Army during the Korean War. He retired from J.P. Stevens in Cheraw, SC as a systems engineer responsible for the computerization of Dye and Finish operations. In retirement in Weslaco, TX he served on the board of Siesta Retirement Village and volunteered in the local community.
He is survived by a daughter and two sons, three grandchildren; and one surviving sister.
