Son of Alphonse and Annie Casino, he first married Julia Kimberlin in Iowa in 1895. He married a second time in 1904 to Cora H. Payne from Covington, Tennessee. The couple eventually settled in Stillwater, Minnesota where Elsie became a prison guard for the Minnesota State Prison. The location of the cemetery where he is buried was found in the funeral records of the Evangelical Lutheran Church from May, 1929.
