He was born May 29,1926, in Brooklyn, the son of Francesco and Christina (Lopiciolo) Carollo. He married Patricia Watkins on Oct. 11, 1956, in Queens. She died Nov. 10, 1984. A U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, he was an aircraft toolmaker for Fairchild Republic Co., Farmingdale, for 32 years, retiring in 1983, at which time he moved to Jefferson.
Surviving are four sons, Barry J. Carollo, John F. Carollo, Brian M. Carollo and Robert P. Carollo, all of Garden City, Long Island; six sisters, Marie Passarelli of Lake Grove, Mrs. Terry Mainella of East Meadow, Phyllis Palumbo of Hicksville, Rosalie Schwenk of West Babylon, Anna Speciale of Deer Park and Annette Zaccheo of Lindenhurst; three brothers, Ben Carollo of East Meadow, Stephen Carollo of West Babylon and Frank Carollo of Saratoga Springs; and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial was offered Saturday, June 14, In Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Stamford, by the pastor the Rev. Joseph Cebula. Burial was in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Stamford. Arrangements were by the Hall Funeral Home, Stamford.
