Mary Louise Dixon, 93, died Sunday, May 27, 2007.

She was born February 16, 1914, in Grays Landing, Pa., a daughter of Sophia and Joseph Dudzak.

She married W. Glenn Dixon on October 28, 1939. They were married 62 years until his death on May 27, 2003.

Mrs. Dixon grew up in Brownsville, Pa., and graduated from Brownsville High School.

She lived all her married life in Vestaburg, where she was a homemaker. She was a good cook and enjoyed making meals for her family. She helped harvest and can vegetables from her husband's garden.

Mrs. Dixon enjoyed spending time with her friends, working crossword puzzles and word searches and keeping up with local daily news.

She lived in her own home until the last months of her life, handling the finances and every aspect of the household.

Surviving are her children, Linda Dixon of Boulder, Colo., and Glenn Dixon and his wife, Sharon, of Columbia, Md.; two grandchildren, Kristi of San Francisco, Calif., and Robert of Mentor, Ohio; and many other relatives. She kept in close touch with her relatives, as her family was very important to her.

She also leaves behind her best friend, Barb Miller of Vestaburg.

Deceased, in addition to her husband and parents, are several brothers and sisters.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. Wednesday in Greenlee Funeral Home, 42 Bank Street at Crawford Road, Fredericktown, where they may pay final respects at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, May 31, before proceeding to Greene County Memorial Park, Waynesburg, for a graveside committal service.
