She died at Unity Hospice on Sunday, Aug. 31, 2008. She was born Jan. 5, 1917 to Lillie and Roy Newling in Pembine, WI.
Throughout her life, she had many occupations, including serving during World War II as a recruiter for the Women’s Army Corps. An avid golfer, she was a member of Hilly Haven Golf Course and also traveled throughout the United States and to many foreign places. She attended St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in De Pere.
Surviving are two daughters: Terri Spiteri and Sandy Richter;
two sisters: Pauline Jakups and Jeanette Andregg;
two brothers Roy Newling Jr. and William Newling;
sister-in-law of Milka Jelacsity;
seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, William Jelacsity.
