COUPLES MARRIED ON SAME DAY HAVE LARGE CELEBRATIONS.

About three hundred and fifty relatives and friends surprised Mr. and Mrs. Edward Friedrich, Friday evening, Oct 23, at the local Opera House in honor of their 25th or silver wedding anniversary. The evening was spent in playing cards and in dancing. A five piece orchestra furnished the music. At 11 o’clock a cafeteria lunch was served. The couple was presented with a purse of money and also received many other pretty and useful presents.

Mr. and Mrs. Friedrich were married on October 23, 1904, in Town Lomira by Rev. Wagner. After the marriage Mr. Friedrich taught schools, then came to Lomira where he clerked at Schmid’s General merchandise store and for the last 19 years has been bookkeeper for Star Malt and Grain Co.
