John A. Alms, 79, a native of Taney County, Mo., where he worked as a mail carrier for 43 years, died Thursday at Capri Nursing Home. Services for Mr. Alms, who moved to Phoenix seven years ago, will be at 2:30 p.m. tomorrow at Central Assembly of God Church, 2302 N. Ninth St. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Gardens. Mr. Alms, who resided at 1319 E. Fillmore, is survived by his wife, Naomi; a son, Cecil of Independence, Mo.; a stepson, Jay Flaherty of Philadelphia; two daughters, Mrs. Lucille Wallace of Fullerton, Calif. and Mrs. Marie Danley of Bellflower, Calif.; 18 great great granchildren. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today at Sunset Chapel, 301 W. Camelback.
