WILBUR LINCOLN CODY was the 2nd of seven children born to:

REVEREND JAMES BODWELL CODY -and-
ISABELLA MULBERRY CODY

He was born on October 19, 1885 in Spy Hill, Saskatchewan Canada.

Wilbur married Emma Elizabeth Hoyle Bunnell of Honesdale, PA in 1910. She was the daughter of Alonzo T. Hoyle of England and Mary Smith of New York.

Emma passed away on September 28, 1937 and Wilbur never re-married. Wilbur worked as a trainman for the Delaware & Hudson Railroad.

His mother ISABELLA MULBERRY's family immigrated from Londonderry, North Ireland to Canada in the late 1870's.

Isabella Mulberry and two of her brothers, James Thomson Mulberry and Thomas Mulberry were the first to set sail on the Allan Steamship Line from Liverpool, and arrived in 1878.

While awaiting immigration to Canada, Wilbur's grandfather James Mulberry became ill (believed to be dysentery) and died in England while awaiting the ship. Wilbur's Grandma Annie Mulberry accompanied her 4 children on her own to Canada in 1880 on the Allan Steamship Line. She traveled with Dave, Mary, Christiana, Elizabeth, as well as her brother-in-law David Mulberry. The family arrived in Rapid City, Manitoba. They chose Rapid City as relatives had already settled there. (niece Jane Thompson; daughter to John Mulberry - the brother of James Mulberry).

Following several years of crop disasters, the family decided to move west to Spy Hill. In 1883 they filed on homesteads near the Cut Arm Valley. N.W. 14-18-31, and 22-18-31.

ISABELLA CODY married REVEREND JAMES BODWELL CODY in Minnedosa, Manitoba on the 9th of May, 1883. They later moved to the United States, where Reverend Cody served in different parishes in New York, and Pennsylvania. Reverend James B. Cody was a Presbyterian Minister.

James B. Cody and Isabella, along with their first three children moved to the United States in 1887, after the birth of Caroline.

Reverend James B. Cody served in parishes throughout New York and Pennsylvania. He passed away in Scranton, Pennsylvania on 29 January 1912 of Gastric Carcinoma. He was 56 years, 7 months and 20 days old. He is buried at Dunmore Cemetery in Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania.
