Campbell Cummings Hutchinson Jr., was the son of Campbell Cummings Hutchinson Sr. and Nellie Norris of Caspiana, Louisiana. He graduated from Washington and Lee University and was a member of the fraternities Beta Theta Pi and Omicron Delta Kappa. He was the founder of the Hutchinson and Green Insurance Agency in Shreveport. He was a member of First Methodist Church, former director of the Shreveport Country Club as well as a member of the Shreveport Club. Also he was president through two terms with the Shreveport Association of Insurance Agents, a director of the Frost-Whited Company, Inc. and of Morris and Dickson, Ltd.
