She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church of Goodland, Kansas and was a homemaker.
On July 15, 1996 she married Jon Anderson at Johnson, Kansas.
Survivors include husband Jon of Garden City, Kansas, one son, Gerald Wayne, one daughter, Ashley Lane, both of the home, parents Zeke Delmar Hammond & Wayne and Christa Barber, Folliett, Texas: four sisters, Amy Barber, Logan, Oklahoma, Jonna Barber, Canadian, Texas, Kerill Barber, Folliett, Texas, and Mandy Barber, Springfield, Colorado, grandparents, Louis and Margaret Juel, Johnson, Kansas, Kenneth and Betty Barber of Johnson and great-grandmother, Hazel Morris, of Johnson, Kansas.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Todd Barber.
Rosary was held at 7:30 p.m., St. Bernard Catholic Church, Johnson, Kansas, Friday, August 28, 1998 and funeral mass was Saturday, 10:00 a.m., August 29, 1998 at Mary Queen of Peach Catholic Church, Ulysses, Kansas with Father John Kowall officiating. Burial was in the Stanton County Cemetery, Johnson, Kansas.
