Rena Emmaline "Emmie" Owens Signoretti passed away on Tuesday, May 23, 2017 in Jacksonville, Florida. A lifelong resident of Jacksonville, Emmie was born September 19, 1930 to Oza Lee and Minnie Owens.

She is predeceased by her parents, her husband Pete Signoretti, brother, Otis Owens and sister, Eunice Owens. She is survived by daughters Patti Burge (Rich), Karen Carlucci (Matthew), son Johnny Signoretti (Beverly), grandsons Richard Burge, Matt Carlucci Jr (Lauren), Joseph Carlucci (Victoria), nephew Lamar Owens (Martha), niece Lavonne Volkmann (Jerry) and three great-grandchildren.

Her grandsons spent many nights with "Nana" where they knew they could do no wrong. Emmie graduated from Landon High School and shortly thereafter met her future husband Pete at the Jacksonville Beach pier where they shared a love of dancing with their many friends. Even in her later days at Taylor Manor she would dance to the beat of her favorite country and gospel songs.
Emmie built a sales career at Sears in downtown Jacksonville, then as Medical Records supervisor for Memorial Hospital until retirement. She was a member of St Nicholas Park Christian Church and the Elks Lodge. She was a wonderful mother, wife, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend who will be dearly missed by all. Her family gives special thanks to Dee and Patricia for their loving care and friendship to Mom.

A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at 11:00am at Hardage-Giddens Oaklawn Chapel, 4801 San Jose Blvd followed by a luncheon in the Taylor Hall. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to Community Hospice & Palliative Care of Jacksonville.
