She worked as a secretary for New Departure-Hyatt, Stafford School in Bristol and Woodlands School in Huron. She was a well-traveled, intelligent woman who loved to share with her friends and family her many travel adventures.
She is survived by her sister, Rita Ross of Colorado Springs, Colo., daughter, Nancy E Hotchkiss of Portsmouth, N.H., and her son, Richard M. Hotchkiss and partner Colleen Shanahan of Sullivan, N.H.
She cared deeply for her grandchildren; Gregg Hotchkiss of Old Orchard Beach, Maine., Luke Doucette and his wife Melissa Moore of Red Lodge, Mont., Samara Doucette and her husband David Farrell of Brooklyn, N.Y., Tracie Loock and her husband David of Fitzwilliam, N.H., Korie Johnson and her husband Erik of Harrisville, N.H.; great grandchildren Carmen Hotchkiss, Silvia Johnson, Pierce Loock, and June Doucette; and one great-grandchild, Oliver Hotchkiss. She was predeceased by her sisters Doris Murray and Marguerite Murray McGuire.
Alice will be greatly missed by her family and friends for her lovely laugh, quick smile and love for her family.
SERVICES: Alice will be buried at Riverside Cemetery in Old Saybrook, Conn., alongside her beloved husband, Milton. Private services will be held graveside at a later date.
