ALEXANDER, PAUL - - Died Tuesday, July 19, 1994, at 7:35 p.m. at his residence in St. Amant. He was 72 and a native of St. Amant. He was owner of Alexander Welling Service and a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. Visiting was held at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales, 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday. Visiting at the funeral home 8 to 9:30 a.m. Thursday. Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, St. Amant, at 10 a.m. Thursday, conducted by the Rev. Robert Stine. Entombment in church mausoleum. Survived by wife, Olive Berteau Alexander, St. Amant; three daughters, Paulette Lee, Mrs. John Luke (Dianne) Boudreaux and Mrs. Lanny (Herrick) Boudreaux, all of St. Amant; a son and daughter-in-law, Paul J. "Iggy" and Janet B. Alexander, St. Amant; two sisters, Catherine Parent and Mildred Babin, both of Duplessis; a brother, Murray S. Alexander, St. Amant; 14 grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren, Preceded in death by parents, Richard Brandon and Florestine Daigle Alexander; three brothers, J.B., Herman and Richard B. Alexander Jr.; and a sister, Egla Babin. Pallbearers will be David and Michael Lee, Scot, Steve, Cody and Cary Boudreaux and Jeff Alexander. Honorary pallbearers are Smitty J. Lee. He was a member of American Legion Post No. 81, V.F.W. Post No. 3693, board of directors of St. Amant Gas Co. and was a former Ascension Parish police juryman.
