PRICE - Our beautiful mother and grandmother, Grace Marie Petitti D'Ambrosio Hammond, age 86, returned to Heaven on Aug. 6, 2011.
She was born in Wattis on Nov. 23, 1924 to Charles Petitti and Mabel Owens.
Married Paul D'Ambrosio, Feb. 22, 1939 in Price; on July 8, 1953, his life was claimed in an mining accident at the Standard Coal Mine. In 1962, she married Charles Hammond and he also preceded her in death.
Grace was a longtime resident of Carbon County and a dedicated employee of JC Penney's of Price for years. She enjoyed bowling, shopping, gardening and her Wendover trips with her friends. "We love you Mom and we'll miss you".
Survived by her children
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, John and Chuck Petitti; sisters, Juanita Naillon and Pauline Riley.
A visitation for family and friends will be Wednesday, Aug. 10, 2011, from 7 - 8 p.m., at Mitchell Funeral Home in Price. Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home of Price, where friends are welcome daily and may share memories of Grace at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net.
