Phillip Nelson Allen, Jr., 15, freshman at St. Benedict at Auburndale, passed away from injuries sustained in an auto accident in Eads, TN. on Saturday, April 13, 2019 after being rushed to the Regional One Hospital, in Memphis, TN. Phillip was born Dec. 23, 2003 at Baptist Women's Hospital in Memphis, TN.

He leaves behind his parents, Phillip and Leigh Allen, and his brother, Cole, of Collierville, TN. He is survived by his grandparents, Phil and Judy Allen of Paragould, AR, and George and Donna Abbott of Collierville, his great-grandmother, Reba Allen Pillow of Paragould, his great-grandfather, Thomas Dale, of Germantown, TN and numerous uncles, aunts and cousins.

Phillip attended Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic School through the Eighth Grade and was finishing his Ninth Grade year at St. Benedict at Auburndale. At SBA he participated in Track, and was a member of the Trap Team. Phillip was a strong academic student, loved playing guitar, and was working on getting his private pilots licenses.

Phillip was dedicated to his Catholic faith and was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church. He was also dedicated to his Family, and the United Stated of America. Phillip's goal was to serve his country as a pilot in the United States Air Force. He also loved keeping up with current events and was most interested in Politics.
Phillip loved spending time with his friends and family, Some of Phillip's favorite moments were spent at Dewitt Spain Airport with his Papa George flying and learning about aircraft. Phillip's other favorite past time was spending time at Lake Norfork with his JuJu, Daddy Phil, and all of his cousins.

He will be most remembered for his love of God, country, and his family. He will be missed--a beautiful boy, wise beyond his years.

Memorial Mass will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 17th at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, with visitation from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m.
