Waymon L. Barrett
Services for Waymon L. Barrett, 89, of Lascassas, who died Wednesday at Community Care of Rutherford County after an extended illness, are scheduled for 11 a.m. Friday at Jennings & Ayers Chapel, with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. The Rev. Craig Green will officiate.
His parents were the late Elmod and Nancy Ada Thomas Barrett.
His wife, the late Bessie Lou Barrett, died Jan. 26, 1992.
He is survived by a son, Waymon Barrett of Slidell, La.; a daughter, Gladys Jones of Murfreesboro; one sister, Hallie Harrison of Murfreesboro; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Family and friends will be pallbearers, with church friends serving as honorary pallbearers.
A member of Dunaway Chapel United Methodist Church, he was a retired farmer.
Visitation will be held after 4 p.m. today at Jennings & Ayers Funeral Home.
