WOOSTER - Esther V. Jeffries, age 99, of Apple Creek, Ohio and formerly of Millersburg, Ohio passed away Thursday morning, April 18, 2019 at LifeCare Hospice, Wooster, Ohio.

Celebration of Life service for the immediate family will take place at the Orrville Christian Church with Tom Ledford and Donny Ackerman officiating. There will be no calling hours. Those wishing to share a memory or make online condolences may do so by visiting www.alexanderfhinc.com.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to LifeCare Hospice, 1900 Akron Road, Wooster, Ohio 44691.

Mrs. Jeffries was born November 15, 1919 near Nashville, Ohio in Holmes County to Earl P. and Bertha (Sprang) Alexander. She graduated from Nashville High School in 1937. She had one sister, Ruth (Campbell) Hammond of Lawton, Oklahoma, formerly of Perrysville, Ohio. She married Raymond W. Jeffries on February 20, 1937. He died on November 22, 1998. She was a homemaker and an active member of the Millersburg Christian Church and the Loyalty Class there until she moved to Wooster, Ohio to live with one of her daughters in 1999. They later moved to Apple Creek, Ohio where she then transferred her membership to Orrville Christian Church.

She is survived by 3 daughters, Nancy (Richard) Bevington of Nashville, Ohio, Jennie Jeffries of Apple Creek, Ohio and Lou Ann (Ralph) Mallon of Canton, Ohio; 6 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and 3 step great-grandchildren.

Her parents; husband; a daughter, Mary Woodruff; and one grandchild, Marci Anne Woodruff preceded her in death.

Esther’s main goal in life was to be a good wife, mother and grandmother and to urge all her family and others to accept Jesus Christ and to follow Him.
