Millie Swanson 84 passed away peacefully May 17, 2005. Born in Mekinock, North Dakota October 2, 1920, She was the youngest of 9 children. She was proud of her Norwegian Heritage, and was raised Lutheran at the Ness Lutheran Church in Mekinock, North Dakota. Millie worked as a maid, waitress, and a restaurant manager, She worked at the Northern Ordinance during the war.
She married the love of her life LeRoy O. Swanson on June 23,1945 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. From this union they had 3 daughters; Linda Ditschinger, Paulette Stream, and Cheryl Justice, Nine grandchildren and 11 Great Grandchildren. She was a Seattle resident for 53 years and had hobbies of sewing and playing the guitar and piano. Millie was a homemaker and devoted her time to her family, which she loved so much. A Viewing will be held on Wednesday , May 25, 2005, 10:00 am to 7:00 pm at Yarington's Funeral Home in Seattle, WA. A Graveside Service will take place on Thursday, May 26, 2005, 1:00 pm at Evergreen Washelli Cemetary in Seattle, WA. She will be greatly missed.
