The posted fraktur birth record cites her parents as Johann Salomon Miller and his wife, Elizabeth Kaffer. She married Joseph Strock in 1810. She died on 18 June 1856 and her estate was inventoried in July 1856 with the final inventory in September 1857. Her burial is unmarked. At the time her husband's grave was dug out from under the sod, we dug up next to him several inches, but didn't have the means to dig deeper, which is where we assume her marker may be hidden.

The Mahoning Valley Historical Society, Youngstown, Ohio ([email protected]) has an original birth/baptism for her [MVHS #1369G], providing her birth and parentage. It is believed that this fraktur was brought to Mahoning County before 1819 by the Strock family, but donated to the Mahoning Valley Historical Society around 1917 by relatives. A posted copy was provided by: Pam Speis (47588757) • [email protected] and archivist. Elizabeth's birth date and place come from this record. Translation follows:
"To these two honorable spouses, Joahnn Salomon Miller and his wife, Elisabeth, nee Kaffer, was born in America in the state of Pennsylvania in Somerset County, in Milford Township. This daughter was baptized and named Elisabeth (no date filled out for baptism) by Pastor Long. Witnesses: Hanns Jackob Kaffer and his wife Elisabeth."

She is buried in same row as a John Peter Miller and his wife, Ann Elizabeth Mayern, but they have been proven not to be closely related to her. The main reason is tied to John Peter Miller and his widow's pension file. There are affidavits from the widow Anna, and both surviving children Mary Magdalena Wolf and John Miller. It clearly states there were four children, the oldest John George Miller (known as George) was whereabouts unknown according to the documents. The fourth apparently died as an infant, no name provided. There are also fraktur for three of the four: George (1785), Mary Magdalena (1787) and John (1788) and according to Mary Magdalena's affidavit, they were drawn by her father John Peter Miller and she states that they were given when the children left the home or were married. All three fraktur document births are in Berks County, PA. including the youngest John (1788). It should be noted that Elisabeth Miller Strock of this memorial was born in 1789 in Somerset County, Pennsylvania.
