This is a CENOTAPH MEMORIAL.

Mary Ann's memorial is one which is a non cemetery category. She was buried on the Elias Adams' family farm at the base of the Wasatch Mountains, 3 miles east of the present town of Layton.

A monument was erected 1964 by their descendants, 250 feet north of their 1st log cabin built on their homestead in 1850. Her exact grave location has been lost to time and the elements.

It is believed to be approximately 500 feet northwest of the Elias Adams Memorial Pioneer Monument at Adams Canyon.

She is the daughter of Elias Adams and his first wife, Almira Cadwell.
