After 88 years of a life well lived Margaret Merle Abbott went home to be with her Lord and Savior. She was born November 17, 1930 in Perry, OK to Emory and Margaret Lillian (Oehler) Horton and passed away on April 21, 2019 in Oklahoma City. OK. Margaret graduated from Elmore High School and married the love of her life, Kenneth Abbott on October 14, 1950 and they spent 49 wonderful years together until his passing in January of 2000. Margaret enjoyed volunteering at The Brand Senior Center in Moore, going to Bible study, and attending church, but the true joy of her life was her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Abbott; parents; and one brother, Walter Wallace Horton. Margaret is survived by her children, Michael Ray Abbott and wife Susie and Marsha Jack-Walden and husband Shayne; grandchildren, Amy Hall, Lloyd Abbott, and Zachary Jacks; great grandchildren, Ariana, Tyiara, Isiah, Chasady, Caitlyn, Cambria, Devon, and Mya; brothers, Emory Earl Horton, and Hermon Harold Horton. Services to celebrate Margaret’s life will be held at Community Christian Church in Moore, OK on Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at 10:00 am. She will be laid to rest next her beloved husband at Resthaven Memory Gardens.
