ALATI (Carr), Veronica Lynn Maria 47, passed away after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer on Monday, April 25, 2016. She was born on January 10, 1969 in Springfield, Ohio to Ronald Carr and Kathleen (Mitchell) Carr. Over the years, Veronica worked for employers such as Gold Circle, BMY, Huntington Bank, and Emro Marketing. She was a life-long member of the Institute of Divine Metaphysical Research where she had been a scripture reader and member of the choir. Veronica had a magnetic personality, a beautiful smile, and a twinkle in her eye. Her hearty laugh put a smile on everyone's face. She exuded love, warmth, and generosity. Veronica was pure of heart. She was competitive in games including her beloved Carpetball. Veronica loved reading, coloring, arts and crafts, word searches, crossword puzzles, and BINGO. Veronica was a resilient WARRIOR who overcame formidable personal and health obstacles. Veronica won her battle with breast cancer surviving 17 years without recurrence. After neurological damage from a coma resulted in her inability to walk for over a year, Veronica not only learned to walk again, but was known to speed walk. During her pancreatic cancer fight, Veronica exceeded her expected life span and was known to bounce back after "death watches".
