James (Jim) Melvin Wheatley, age 70, passed away June 7, 2007. He was born in Baltimore, Maryland on September 2, 1936 to Elmer and EvaMae Wheatley. He retired after 23 years in the Air Force. He worked with the American Red Cross, in Pueblo, CO. He was an owner-operator of Team Colorado Television. Jim was a local media personality in Colorado Springs, CO. Mr. Wheatley was preceded in death by his wife of 41 years, Ada (Oliver), his parents Elmer, EvaMae, great grandson Angel Liston. He is survived by his wife of 9 years Lynetta (Lyn), children; James, Greg, Theresa, stepchildren Patti Mack, Kari Caw, grandchildren; Jake, Amber, Ryan, Kailey, Dillon, Amanda, Troy, Jennifer, David, Devon, and Tabitha, great grandchildren; Kayden and Douglas. Open Invitation Memorial Service 6:00 p.m. on June 18, 2007 at the D.A.V. 6880 Palmer Park Blvd. There will be a Potluck dinner following. Graveside service on June 19th at 10:00 am. with Military Honors at Fort Logan Cemetery.
