Funeral services for Mr. Carroll Patrick "Jabo" Alford, age 71, will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, April 27, 2019, at the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel, Springhill, LA, with Russell "Buddy" Christ officiating. Interment will follow in Springhill Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, Springhill.
Visitation will be held Friday, April 26, 2019, from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
Mr. Alford was born on March 21, 1948 to Carroll Goodwill and Faye Patrick Alford in Shreveport, LA and passed away on Thursday, April 25, 2019 in Bossier City, LA. He was retired from the U.S. Navy serving 20 years, and later retired from Inland Container Plant in Minden. He loved everything that was LSU and Mudbugs Hockey.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Glenda Faye St. Claire Alford; daughter, Dana M. Hughes and husband, Devin of Sarepta; son, John Alford and wife, Karen of Haughton, LA; grandson, James B. Garner of Sarepta; sister, Nelda Loyd and husband, Stan of Nashville, TN; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Alford was preceded in death by his parents.
Pallbearers will be Devin Hughes, Gray Schuler, Pete Schuler, Jeremy Cave, Randy Cave and John Ingle.
