Mr. Stowe had farmed in Terry County for about a year, moving here from Bonham. He was a native of Oklahoma. Bobby Reynolds, minister, officiated the funeral service, and burial was in Meadow Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.
Survivors include his wife, Ruby Stowe; six sons, L.D., Meadow, Simon Jr., of Frederick, Okla., Johnny Ray of Meadow, Donny Joe of Abilene, Texas, Larry Wayne and Marty Glen, of the home; five daughters, Mrs. Gloria Lea Tidwell of Meadow, Ruby Faye Wade of Mesquite, Texas, Mrs. Dovie Ann Salinas of Leonard, Texas, Mrs. Carolyn Sue Kline of Meadow, Texas, Linda Lou of the home; his mother, Mrs. Nancy Stowe of Bennington, Okla., three sisters, Lea Blackwell, Lois Manners and Jessie Keenon; six brothers, George, Bill, Sabbeth, Earl, J.B. and Jim, and 20 grandchildren.
