(1934 - 2010)

William J. Decker, age 76, of Glendale, Ariz., formerly of Manitowoc, died on Sunday evening, Sept. 5, 2010, at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc.

He was born April 21, 1934, in Kellnersville, son of the late Edward and Emily (Stodola) Decker. William served his country in the United States Army. He was an avid sports fan, a member of the AmVets Post 99 for many years, and a former member of the Kiwanis
Club of Manitowoc.

Survivors include his daughter: Pamela (Dan) Will, Woodland Park, Colo.; two sons: Timothy (Susan) Decker, Inver Grove Heights, Minn., Ray (special friend, Jennifer) Decker, Manitowoc; special friend: Gerda McMahon, Glendale, Ariz.; the mother of his children: Janet Mills, Landfall, Minn.; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three sisters: Rose Tadych, Francis Creek, Marion Lorenz, Manitowoc, Beatrice Tomczuk, Mesa, Ariz.; two brothers: Edward (special friend, Donna) Decker, Manitowoc, and Robert (Shirley) Decker, Spread Eagle, Wis.; one sister-in-law: Irene Decker, Manitowoc. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive.

He was preceded in death by one sister and brother-in-law: Emily (Chuck) Kozaczuk; one brother: James Decker; one sister-in law: Elizabeth (Pudgy) Decker; and three brothers in-law: Elmer Lorenz, Richard Tomczuk, and Alois Tadych.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 9, 2010, at St. Francis of Assisi on Marshall, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Joel Szydlowski O.F M. with burial at Knollwood Memorial Gardens, town of Kossuth. Full Military Honors will be accorded by AmVets Post No. 99, Manitowoc.

The family will greet relatives and friends at St. Francis of Assisi on Marshall, Manitowoc, from 9 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 9, 2010, until 10:15 a.m.

The Pfeffer Funeral Home & All-Care Cremation Center, Manitowoc, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
