AJ was born on February 23, 1991 to Marie Montalbano Lomax and Aaron Dean Lomax in Houston, Texas.
AJ grew up in Katy, Texas. He attended Winborn Elementary, Katy Junior High, and Katy High School. AJ was loved by many friends. He was exceptionally passionate about sports, and was heavily involved with his high school football team, the Katy Tigers. The exceptional guidance he received from head coach, Gary Joseph, as well as “Doc” Landers, had a profound and lasting effect on AJ. Whether it was his role as football trainer or the standing ovations he received during award ceremonies, their active roles in AJ’s high school career, and his life, were invaluable.
With sports being such an integral part of AJ’s life, his participation in the Special Olympics came as no surprise to those who knew him. From 2003 to 2016, AJ was a proud member of the Katy Wolf Pack. Music also held a huge spot in AJ’s heart. His music collection was expansive, and Michael Jackson was one of his favorite artists.
On April 26, 2019, AJ passed away in Katy, Texas at 28 years of age. His family loves and misses him tremendously and would like to thank everyone for the love and support received during this difficult time. Wagner reciting. Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at the St. Bartholomew Catholic Church, in Katy, with Rev. Charles Hough, Celebrant. A reception will follow in the Family Life Center at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church. Interment in Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery, in Houston.
