Hattie Lois Sprouse Jones, 91, of 2625 Montague Avenue Ext., widow of Everett Joel Jones, Sr., died Monday, April 29, 2019 at her home.
Born in Greenwood, she was a daughter of the late Armstrong Miller and Elise Harbison Sprouse.
She and her husband ran Jones’ Grocery for more than 50 years and she was a member of Lowell Street United Methodist Church.
Surviving are her children, Everett Joel Jones, Jr., (Barbara) of Jasper, GA, John Lee Jones (Deborah) of Marietta, SC, Deborah Jones Hanley of Anderson and Paul M. Jones (Debra) of Greenwood; 12 grandchildren; a number of great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; and “sisters”, Janie Sprouse and Daisy Rogers.
Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
