Rufus married Minnie Roe (1901-1974). Children born to this union were Doris Elaine (1920) and Robert Stanley(was premature and died at birth...family Bible says 05/04/1927 & courthouse record says 05/03/1929...will need to recheck that date)** Rufus & Minnie were divorced and Minnie remarried.
Rufus married Ida Beck (1901-1975) This may have been a common law marriage.
Rufus worked as a plumber. Rufus & Ida took care of Rufus's dad Elmer "Dick" Hemingway in their home in Mantorville until his death in 1953. Rufus died January 6, 1969 and is buried in the family plot with Ida and his father Elmer...in the Evergreen Cemetery in Mantorville, MN.
