Arthur, Alfred K. - 63, retired carpenter of 1431 Fourth Av, died Sunday in a local hospital.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Rose Arthur; five sons, Leonard, Chester and William of Charleston, George of RFD 3, and Rubert of the army; a daughter, Mrs. Vernell Carpenter of Charleston; two sisters, Mrs. Alice Samples of Procious and Mrs. Fred Cogar of Bomont; four brothers, Samuel of Columbus, O., Louis of Bomont, Edward of Grafton and James of Charleston.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning at 10:30 a.m. at the Church of God on Florida St. Rev. K. Y. Plank, assisted by Rev. J. D. Thomas followed by interment in the Bomont cemetery at Procious.
The body will lie in state from 9:30 until 10/30 at the church. Cunningham Funeral Home is in charge.
