Angela Eugenia Reiter (nee Stang)

Angela passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, at St. Paul's Hospital on Thursday, April 11th, 2013 at the age of 78.

Angela was born in Macklin, SK the eldest of a family of 17.

Angela loved music, singing, painting, puzzles, crosswords, and spent endless hours researching family histories for the numerous Family Tree books she and Steve published.

Angela was a teacher for over 30 years in the Catholic School system, and in her retirement speech she shares her thoughts on her calling; "Can I really expect Him to accomplish miracles though me, an ordinary person, in ordinary surroundings? Yes, He will do great things through me to mold others. This has been my vocation to teach. This faith and hope, I have tried to pass on to your children." Together, Steve and Angela loved to travel, including a retirement motor home adventure throughout every state in the USA. She was a devoted Catholic who lived out her faith to its fullest every day.

Angela will be lovingly remembered by her children, Reginald (Loretta), Patricia (Tim), Elizabeth (John), Vivian (Doug), Maxine (Glenn), Ada (Robbie), Stephanie (Dean), Hannah (Mike); numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by her many brothers and sisters, nieces, nephews and cousins, and other family members.

She was predeceased by her husband, Steve; parents, Mary and Reinhold Stang; twin sisters, Lucy and Rita; sisters, Wendelina, Elvira and Margaret.

The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the staff in the ICU at St. Paul's, for the sensitive treatment they received. Angela passed away very peacefully and with dignity after a very long struggle. They also would like to extend their gratitude to the staff at Parkridge Center for their dedication to Angela's care for the last 3 years.

The Vigil for Angela will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 14th at Windsor Chapel, 704 Windsor Street (corner of 8th Avenue North and Windsor Street), wheelchair accessible and the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, April 15th held at Holy Spirit Roman Catholic Church (114 Kingsmere Place) with Rev. Father Bill Stang, OMI as the celebrant. Rite of Committal at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
