He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of the National Association Civilian Conservation Corps and Battery C, 190th Field Artillery Veterans Organization. He worked for the former Spirax/Sarco Corp., Allentown, as an assembler-inspector for more than 30 years before retiring in 1982.
Survivors: Son, David of Bellefonte; daughter, Kathryn Kresge of Allentown; brother, Glenn of Hanover Township, Luzerne County; granddaughters, Denise and Kristeen Kresge, both of Bellefonte; nieces, nephews.
Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday, with Rev. Joseph Carr officiating, K.V. Knopp Funeral Home Inc., 46 E. Susquehanna St., Allentown. Call 9:30-10:30 a.m. Saturday. Interment, Cedar Hill Memorial Park, Airport Road, Allentown.
