Timothy passed away at the Androscoggin Hospice with his family by his side.

He was born in Lewiston, the son of Frank and Norma (Sampson) Grimmel. He attended Lewiston school and later graduated from Lisbon High School. He worked for Bath Iron Works, and later worked for Mario's Restaurant in Bath, Dutchy's Restaurant in Lisbon, for his brother at Grimmel's Service Station in Lewiston, and later for Gendron's Mobil as manager for more than 25 years.

He was past president of the Maine Country Bassers Club. Tim loved boating and was an avid fisherman. Above all he loved spending time with his grandchildren. He will be remembered as being cheerful and full of life. His customers will miss him dearly as he was always there for them with his caring ways and big smile.

Survivors include his best friend and mother of his children, Diana Grimmel of Sabattus; his daughter, Jennifer Pellegrini of Auburn; his son, Timothy H. Grimmel III, of Sabattus; five brothers, James J. Grimmel Sr., and his wife, Irene, of Lewiston, Francis Grimmel, and his wife, Diane, of Greene, Robert Grimmel, and his wife, Jeannine, of Lisbon, Paul Grimmel, and his wife, Carole, of Greene and Richard Grimmel of Pensacola, Fla.; two sisters, Faye Poirier, and her husband, Albert, of Las Vegas, Nev., and Leila Coombs, and her husband, Richard, of Topsham; three grandchildren, Anthony, Jeremy and Gavin Pellegrini of Auburn; and many nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by an infant son, Timothy H. Grimmel Jr.

GRIMMEL - Timothy H., 55, a resident of Lewiston, died in Auburn, Dec. 9. A celebration of Tim's life will be held on SATURDAY, Dec. 16, at 11 a.m. from the Memorial Chapel of Dillingham & Son with the Rev. Norman Boulay Sr., presiding. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Tim's memory may be sent to Androscoggin Hospice House, 236 Stetson Road, Auburn, ME 04210.
