Helen H. Gitter, age 82, of Hortonville, died Thursday, December 6, 2012, at home. She was born May 28, 1930, in Michigan to the late Clarence and Agnes (Peterson) Hodge. On June 23, 1951, she married Eugene Gitter in Shiocton. Helen was a member of St. Michael's Church in DePere.
Helen is survived by her husband of 61 years, Eugene Gitter, of Hortonville; three daughters, Barbara (Leroy) Niemuth, of Waupaca; Diane (Dave) Lathrop, of Appleton; Carol (Fred) Heineman, of Shiocton; one son, David (Bonnie) Gitter, of Readfield; fourteen grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Mary Gitter; and other relatives and friends.
Along with her parents, Helen was also preceded in death by a great-granddaughter; and many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
A Requiem Mass will be held on Monday, December 10, 2012, at 11:30 a.m. at St. Michael's Church, 1784 Chapelle Rue, DePere, with Fr. Duverger officiating. Burial will be in the Most Precious Blood Cemetery, New London. A visitation for family and friends will be on Monday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass.
