Harry Edsel Jackson, 86 of Alderson passed away May 5, 2019 at the Beckley VA Hospital. Born March 9, 1933 in Goshen, VA and was a son of the late Berlin and Hilda Bowles Jackson. He was also preceded in death by his wife on June 1, 2001 Anna Lee Jackson, one sister, Dorothy Stuples, step sisters, Joyce Miller, Shirley, Miller, and Wilma Miller and one step brother, Sam Miller, great grandchild, Hoss Lee David Forren.
Harry was a founder and pastor of the Alderson Baptist Church, and a Korea Army Veteran.
Harry is survived by four children, Hilda Miles and husband Jeff of Pulaski, VA, Holly Forren and husband Jeff, Susie Godby and husband James, and Bobbie McClung and husband Shawn all of Alderson, grandchildren, Jeffery David Forren and companion Lynette of Sweet Chalybeate, VA, Marcus Forren and wife Chelsea of Alderson, Michael Miles and Companion Carri Beth of Pulaski, VA, Kristin Miles of Pulaski, VA, Lauren Davis and husband Lucas of Morgantown, WV, and Rosemary Godby of Alderson, great-grandchildren, Angel Holladay and husband Kacey of Fairmont, McKayla Forren and companion Trey of White Sulphur Springs, Trinity Forren of Alderson, Avery McMillan of Pulaski, VA, Piper Jo Forren of Alderson, brother, Marvin Jackson of Bells Valley, VA, and step brother, Jim Miller of Craigsville, VA.
A private graveside service will be held later.
