Albert was born to Albert F. and Ethel Ulrich Jonas. He married Alice Burnette Sluga on Aug. 14, 1943, in Peoria. She passed away on June 24, 2008, in Peoria.
He also was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Jim Johnson; and one brother, Bob.
He is survived by two daughters, Sharon (Lyle) LaFollett and Linda Johnson; six grandchildren, Michael (Michelle) LaFollett, Carin (David) Purtle, Cadie (Jerry) Adkins, Lori (Ray) Vallas, Jim (Becky) Johnson and Tracey Holley; 12 great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Roy Jonas and Marvin Jonas.
Bud was a machine-shop foreman at Caterpillar Inc. for more than 30 years.
He was a World War II U.S. Air Force veteran.
