EDWARD CONROY DIES; FUNERAL IS FRIDAY

Edward D. Conroy, who had spent the major part of his life in Arlington, in which town he was born, died at six o'clock Tuesday night at Albany hospital, where he had been in a critical condition for the last 12 days. Mr. Conroy, for the past several years foreman of the mechanical department and assistant manager of Berkshire Motors in Albany, had been stricken while at his work and little hope had been held for his ultimate recovery.

Mr. Conroy was 53 years old, born December 30, 1894. His father was the late Dennis Conroy and his mother, who now resides in White River Junction, is the former Mary Cullinan. His schooling had been received in Arlington and he had been in the garage business in that village before going to the New York state capital city. He leaves many friends and acquaintances in both Arlington and the Albany area.

Besides his wife, the former Etta Seymour of Manchester, he leaves one son, Dennis of New York; a brother, Philip Conroy of Bennington; two sisters, Mrs. Cecile Hays of White River Junction and Mrs. Walter (Ellen) Rapp of Woodbury, Conn.

The funeral will be held Friday from Haynes & Kane Funeral home at 8 o'clock with a prayer service, followed by a Mass of requiem at 9 o'clock from St. Columban's church in Arlington. Burial will be in St. Columban's cemetery.
