John Douglas Donald, of Livingston, passed away Saturday, Oct. 20, 2018. John was born in Bozeman, Montana on Feb. 17, 1928.

John attended Bozeman schools, where he graduated and also graduated from Montana State College, as it was then named. He also was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving overseas.

John was preceded in death by his mother and father, also of Bozeman; and by his wife, Nettie Louise Iverson. He had one nephew, Miles, who preceded him in his passing as well.

A memorial service is planned for 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 11 at the Livingston Masonic Lodge at 130 N. Second St.in Livingston. The lodge will be open to the public for this service and will be followed by lunch, also at the lodge, for all who attend. RSVP will be appreciated by calling and leaving a message at (406) 222-4816 or emailing [email protected]. This will help his brothers plan appropriately for his honoring/meal.

Burial will follow immediately after lunch at the Park View Cemetery at 3004 East River Road in Livingston, and he will receive military honors provided by the local VFW honor guards. He would appreciate your participation at the cemetery as well.

John’s favorite hobby was his ham radio activities and his involvement within the Masonic Order and Shriners. He will be remembered for his kind heart and generous soul by those who knew him.
