He married Jemima Kaylor 10 Aug 1860 in Washington Co., VA, and he and Jemima lived in the Kinderhook District of Washington County (Mendota) and raised seven children. Jerome is listed in the census records with Jemima in 1860,1870, 1880, & 1900. In 1910 he is not listed with her. Jemima died 22 May 1915 and her death certificate says she was divorced; buried in Fleenor Memorial Cemetery. The death certificate for Jerome Hobbs shows Nancy Hobbs as the informant. Further research on Nancy Hobbs reveals her maiden name of Price, first married to James L. Davis (14 Apr 1869, Scott Co.), and remarried to Jerome Hobbs. Jerome's death certifcate says he is buried at Fugate Hill, VA. Although no tombstone for Jerome Hobbs could be found in this cemetery, I am placing him here as it seems to be the likely cemetery.
