Kay Smith Ballard, 66, of Plant City, Florida, born on September 12, 1952 in Plant City, entered into eternal rest on May 11, 2019. She was an administrative assistant for many years with Snyder Investments and Financial Services in Plant City. She enjoyed fishing, sewing, quilting, and traveling, especially going on cruises with her family. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandson, Ryan, who was the light of her life. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Alan Ballard; daughter, Amy Haney (John); grandson, Ryan Haney; siblings, Joann Palmer (Fred) and Gene Smith (Sharon); nephew, Fred "Porky" Palmer (Della); and many loving extended family and friends. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 16 at 3:00 P.M. at Hopewell Funeral Home, 6005 S County Rd 39, Plant City, where the family will receive friends beginning at 2:00 P.M.
