Gary was a native of Sissonville and a 1957 graduate of Sissonville High School. He had planned to retire from General Motors this year and return to his beloved West Virginia to live.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Lud H. and Nora Gibson Boggess, long time residents of Sissonville.
He is survived by his wife, Annette of Trenton; daughter, Melissa Louwers, her husband, Sean, and granddaughters, Madison and Morgan Louwers, of Macomb, Michigan; stepson, Craig Moon, his wife, Denise, and stepgrandchildren, Autumn and Jason Moon, of Dayton, Ohio; sister, Janet Welch and her husband, Edwin, of Charleston; aunt, Martha Robertson of Portsmouth, Virginia; numerous cousins; and many friends in the Charleston area.
Known for his warm, open personality, Gary will be deeply mourned and sorely missed by his family, friends, and co-workers at the Pontiac GM Opdyke Assembly Center where he was employed for many years.
