Chester J. Lewis, 91, was a graduate of Nott Terrace High School. From 1924 to 1930, he worked for the General Electric Co. Subsequently he was a partner with the Miller-Lewis Neon Sign Co. on Albany Road from 1930 to 1938. He was a glassblower for the Texaco Research Lab in Beacon, retiring in 1970 as manager of the glass department. From 1938 to 1970, Mr. Lewis resided in Poughkeepsie and moved to Ballston Spa after retiring. In recent years, he returned to Schenectady.
Survivors include his wife of 69 years, Elsie Winfield Lewis; a son; a sister, Florence Lewinski ; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
