DONALD BELFORD SR
Donald H Belford Sr of South Bay Ave, Islip, died on Dec 11 at the age of 82.
Mr Belford headed the Statistical Department of Southside Hospital for many years. He came to Islip in 1926 from Pennsylvania where he was employed by the American Foundry Company as an auditor. In 1933 he headed the Unemployment Insurance Department of Suffolk County and was also with the W P A in an official capacity.
He is survived by his wife, Marguerite, nee Richardson; a son James H and four grandchildren. He was the father of the late Donald H Belford Jr.
He reposed at the Overton Funeral Home, Main St, Islip until Monday when services were held at St Marks Episcopal Church, Islip. Interment followed in Oakwood Cemetery, Bay Shore.
