Hugh Thomas Blackburn, age 78, of Sautee-Nacoochee, passed away Tuesday, May 14, 2019. Mr. Blackburn was born in White County to the late Thomas Hester and Bonnie Brown Blackburn. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother and sister-in-law, Mack "Bud" and Pat Blackburn, and sister, Euzella Blackburn. Mr. Blackburn served in the US Air Force and will receive military honors. He was a member of the Shriners, was a Mason, and served on the White County Recreation Board. Mr. Blackburn worked at the Cleveland Post Office and was the owner and operator of Blackburn Construction. He was a member of Crescent Hill Baptist Church.
Survivors include wife, Janie Blackburn, Sautee-Nacoochee; daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and Jonathan Thompson, Gainesville and Victoria and Denver Truelove, Cleveland; son and daughter-in-law, Todd and Tina Blackburn, Cleveland; grandchildren, Justin Thompson, Morgan Blackburn and fiance AJ Vandiver, Josie Thompson, Dallas Truelove, Cheyenne Truelove, and Branson Truelove; and many other relatives.
